Builder and trade websites · every state · AU $2,997 + GST

Website design for builders and trades, across Australia.

A builder’s website has three jobs: prove you are licensed, show the work, and turn a homeowner into a quote request. We design and write six-page sites for Australian builders and trade businesses that do all three, with your licence details set out to your state’s rules, for a fixed AU $2,997 + GST.

Builder sites we made

Three Australian builders, three very different briefs.

Sexton Builders sells high-end renovations to homeowners in North West Brisbane. Newton Manor wins school and government work as well as private homes across Victoria. Roscon Co. builds contemporary homes in Orange and the Central West. We designed, built and deployed all three, and each is live now. Open them on your phone, the way your next client will.

Different trades, different buyers, different sites. A builder’s website should look like that builder, not like a template with a hard hat on it. More of our work is on the website design page.

What goes on it

What every builder and trade website needs.

Homeowners comparing builders look for three things before they ring: are you licensed, have you done work like theirs, and do you work in their suburb. These six parts answer all three and make the call easy.

Your licence, shown properly

The name you are licensed under and your licence number, on the site and laid out the way your state regulator requires. The rules for New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria are below.

Project galleries that sell

Each job with its suburb, the scope and your own photos, so a homeowner two streets away can picture their own renovation. Stock photos are never passed off as your work.

Suburbs and service areas

The suburbs and regions you actually take work in, named in the copy and set as service areas on your Google Business Profile, so the two agree.

Tap-to-call on every page

Plenty of people look for a builder or a sparky on their phone. Your number is one tap away from anywhere on the site, and in New South Wales a business phone number has to be in builders’ ads anyway.

A quote form that sorts the job

Job type, suburb, rough budget and timing, so you can tell a full extension from a small repair before you ring back. Short enough to fill in on a building site.

Your name on everything

The .com.au registered to your ABN and the hosting in your name, with a handover walkthrough at launch. If you ever change web company, the site goes with you.

State rules

Your licence on your website, state by state.

A website is advertising, and each state regulator has its own rules for what a builder’s advertising must show. Here are the three states our builder clients work in, from the regulators’ own pages.

New South Wales: NSW Fair Trading

Under the Home Building Act 1989, nobody may advertise residential building work over $5,000, or electrical wiring, plumbing, draining, gas fitting, air conditioning or refrigeration work of any value, without a current contractor licence. Ads, online ones included, must carry the licensee’s name (or a business name registered to the licensee), the licence number with the right category of work, and a business phone number. A part price is not allowed unless the single full price is clearly stated too. nsw.gov.au

Queensland: the QBCC

A QBCC licensee shows the name it is licensed under, its QBCC licence number and a statement that it is licensed under the QBCC Act, legible and reasonably prominent. A company uses the company’s name and number. Websites, Facebook pages, directories such as Hipages and vehicle signage all count as advertising, and a trading name on its own will most likely fail. Unlicensed contractors must state the value of work they can do without a licence. qbcc.qld.gov.au

Victoria: the Building and Plumbing Commission

The Victorian Building Authority now trades as the Building and Plumbing Commission. Its guidance for building companies is blunt: serious penalties apply for saying, or implying, that you or your company are registered if that is not true. So the site states the registration you hold, in the category and class you hold it, and nothing wider. bpc.vic.gov.au

Checked on the regulators’ sites on 23 October 2026. This is general information, not legal advice, and the regulator’s page is the final word. Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and the Northern Territory each have their own licensing body: tell us your state at kick-off and the site follows its current rule.

Getting found

Found when someone searches for a builder in their suburb.

Most builders and tradies win work locally, so local search does the heavy lifting: the map listing, the suburb in the search, and more and more, an AI assistant asked to recommend someone nearby. Nobody can promise a ranking or a mention, and we never do. What we can do is give Google and the assistants clear, consistent facts to work with.

One way a builder uses the six pages:

  • Home
  • About and licence
  • Services
  • Projects
  • Service areas
  • Contact and quote
  • Google Business Profile, set up the way Google intends for a business that travels to the job: if customers do not come to your address, Google’s own help says to remove it and list service areas instead, up to 20 of them by suburb, postcode or region, within about two hours’ drive of your base. Your website names the same areas.
  • A page for each kind of work you want more of, such as extensions, new homes or bathrooms, written around the words homeowners type.
  • Schema markup that describes you as a builder or the right trade, with your services and service areas, plus an llms.txt file and plain statements about who you are, what you build, where, and the licence you hold.
  • Analytics and Search Console from launch day, so you can see which suburbs and jobs the site is being found for.

Service-area guidance from Google’s help page, Manage your service areas. Ongoing local search work is on the SEO and AI search page.

Beyond the website

When the phone rings and you are up a ladder.

A good site brings in calls and quote requests. Two things decide whether they turn into jobs: someone answering, and enough of the right people seeing you in the first place.

Missed calls, answered

On the tools and cannot pick up? Our AI receptionist answers 24/7 on an Australian number, takes the job details and books the quote visit into your calendar. Plans from AU $297 + GST a month.

Google Ads for builders

Google Ads on the searches that mean a job, such as a renovation type plus a suburb, run in an ad account set up in your name.

Facebook and Instagram ads

Meta ads that put your finished projects in front of homeowners in the suburbs you work in, sending them to the site or straight to a quote form.

Pricing

The same fixed price as every site we build.

A builder or trade website is our standard six-page build: copy written for you, licence details set out properly, the galleries built from your photos, handed over in your name. AU $2,997 + GST, which is AU $3,296.70 with GST.

Questions

What builders and tradies ask us.

Licences, photos, reviews and missed calls. Anything else, ask on the call.

How much does a builder website cost with OneAdsphere?

AU $2,997 + GST, fixed, for six pages with the copy written for you. With GST that is AU $3,296.70. Extra pages are quoted separately, and so is anything outside the six-page scope, such as an online shop or a client login area.

Does my licence number have to be on my website?

In New South Wales and Queensland, yes: both regulators treat online advertising as advertising, and your licensed name and licence number have to appear. Queensland also wants a statement that you are licensed under the QBCC Act. In Victoria, the Building and Plumbing Commission warns of serious penalties for claiming or implying a registration you do not hold.

I am a tradie, not a builder. Is this for me?

Yes. Electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, air conditioning and refrigeration techs, carpenters and landscapers get the same six-page build. In New South Wales, electrical wiring, plumbing, draining, gas fitting and air conditioning work needs a licence to advertise at any value, so the licence details go on your site from day one.

Can you use photos of my past jobs?

Yes, and your own project photos are the most persuasive thing on a builder's site. Custom photography is not part of the price, so we build the galleries from photos you already have, and we never present stock images as your work.

I work from home. Will my address show on Google?

It does not need to. Google's guidance for businesses that travel to customers is to remove the address from the Business Profile and list up to 20 service areas instead. Your website then names the same suburbs and regions.

Can my site show customer reviews?

Yes, as long as they are genuine. Under ACCC guidance a business must not write fake reviews or get others to, taking down real negative ones can mislead, and any reward for reviewing has to be disclosed. Put the number of reviews next to any star rating.

What happens to calls I miss while I am on site?

Your website can only take the enquiry. If calls go unanswered, our AI receptionist can pick them up 24/7, take the details and book the quote visit, with plans from AU $297 + GST a month.

Have you built websites for builders in my state?

We built the sites for Sexton Builders in North West Brisbane, Newton Manor in Carnegie, Melbourne, and Roscon Co. in Orange, New South Wales. Wherever you are, the build runs by video call in your business hours from our South Brisbane office.

How long does a builder website take?

10 to 15 business days from the day we have your content: your logo, licence details, project photos and the basics about your business. We write the copy, you review it twice, and the site goes live on your .com.au.
