Voice AI · First Voice, now part of OneAdsphere

Every call answered, every lead called back.

Tradies on the tools, clinics mid-appointment, agents at an open home: the phone rings when you can’t answer it. First Voice’s AI receptionist answers your calls 24/7 on an Australian number, books jobs into your calendar and calls new leads back typically within 60 seconds. We set it up and manage it for you.

Australian rules

Fast, and inside the rules.

Calling and texting leads in Australia is covered by the ACMA rules and the Privacy Act. Here is how each one is handled, in plain English.

Do Not Call Register Act 2006

Calling someone who asked you to

When a person fills in your form and asks to be contacted, calling them back about that enquiry is contact they agreed to. Consent is what allows a call to a number on the Do Not Call Register, and it can be withdrawn at any time, so a lead who says “don’t call me again” is not called again.

  • Consent wording on the form says what the call is about, who will call and that an automated AI assistant may call.
  • Keep a record of the form, its wording and when it was sent, so you can show where the consent came from.
  • Competition entries and free-download leads are not auto-called.
Telemarketing Industry Standard

Calling hours and saying who is calling

Telemarketing calls in Australia are allowed Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm, never on a Sunday or a national public holiday, even when the person agreed to be called. Every call also has to say who is calling, for which business and why, end politely if the person asks, and show a caller ID number they can ring back.

  • We set the calling window inside those hours, in your leads’ local time. Perth is two or three hours behind Sydney, so national campaigns get a window that works for every state.
  • Leads that arrive outside the hours wait for the window to open.
Spam Act 2003

Texts that follow the rules

A marketing text needs consent, has to say who it is from and has to give an easy way to stop, such as replying STOP. Stop requests must be actioned within 5 business days. Booking confirmations and appointment reminders are generally not marketing messages.

  • Every text carries your business name and a working STOP option.
  • A STOP reply ends the follow-up texts for that number.
Privacy Act 1988

Recordings, data and honest AI

The Australian Privacy Principles apply to businesses with annual turnover over $3 million and to some smaller ones, such as private health service providers. The OAIC suggests explaining how personal information is used at the start of a phone call, and recording a call is also covered by Commonwealth, state and territory laws.

  • The greeting can say the call may be recorded, before anything else is collected.
  • The OAIC recommends AI tools facing the public are clearly identified as AI. Speed-to-lead calls say so up front; the receptionist says so if asked, and its greeting can say so too.

What happened when businesses stopped missing calls.

Two case studies from First Voice’s call records, both from New Zealand, where First Voice started: the calls that arrive when the office is closed, and new leads called before they go cold.

Garage doors · Wellington · March to September 2026

765 calls answered, 1 in 4 of them after the office closed.

Two Wellington garage door companies. More than 1 in 4 calls came outside business hours, and 1 in 8 on a weekend: calls that would otherwise have gone to voicemail. First Voice answers for both companies, day and night, takes the caller’s name, number, address and what’s wrong with the door, and passes every enquiry to the team.

Its AI receptionist also answered 119 inbound calls, 41% of them outside business hours (November 2025 to January 2026).

How we know
  • How First Voice counted: Figures from First Voice’s own call records. Business hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, NZ time. Appointments are counted only where the booking system confirmed the booking. A lead counts as reached when the conversation lasted more than 15 seconds. Client names are withheld. I am using FirstVoice to call my leads as soon as they come in from Meta. The potential clients love that I contact them quicker than anyone. I am able to close more deals because I'm the first to them.

Data and honesty

Your calls stay yours.

Specific and checkable, not a badge.

Where your data goes

Kept in Australia, if you prefer

  • Recordings, transcripts and summaries are stored in New Zealand by default, on infrastructure First Voice runs itself, or in another region such as Australia if you prefer.
  • During a call the audio is processed in real time by the AI provider that powers the conversation. They don’t keep a copy and don’t use it to train their models.
  • Only you and the people you give a login to can see your call data. It is never sold.
  • Keep recordings from a day up to two years, switch recording off, redact personal details, and export any time.
Honest about AI

Built to hand over when it should

  • If a caller asks, it says it’s an AI assistant, and the greeting can say so up front.
  • It won’t give medical, legal or financial advice.
  • It never asks callers for card numbers.
  • First Voice isn’t separately certified against SOC 2, ISO 27001 or any similar standard, and we won’t imply otherwise.

Questions

Voice AI, answered plainly.

Anything not covered here, ask us on a call.

What is First Voice?

First Voice (FirstVoice AI) is an AI receptionist service that answers business calls 24/7, books appointments into your calendar and calls new leads back typically within 60 seconds, fully set up and managed for you. It launched in New Zealand in 2025 and is now part of OneAdsphere.

Does it work for Australian businesses?

Yes. First Voice works with businesses in Australia, on a new local Australian number or your existing number with call forwarding, and can keep your call data in Australia instead of New Zealand if you prefer.

How much does it cost in Australia?

First Voice publishes its plans in New Zealand dollars. For Australian businesses we confirm the price in Australian dollars on a call, plus GST, before anything is set up. Setup is included, it runs month to month with no lock-in contract, and there is a free 2-week trial on your real calls.

Is it legal to have AI call my leads in Australia?

Calling someone who has just asked to be contacted about your service is contact they agreed to. The Australian rules still apply: calls only in the telemarketing hours (weekdays 9am to 8pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm, no Sundays or national public holidays), the caller says who it is and why, and texts carry a STOP option. This is general information, not legal advice.

Does it sound like a robot?

No. It speaks naturally and handles interruptions. Ring +64 9 875 3924 (a New Zealand number) to hear First Voice’s own AI receptionist, or play the recorded calls on this page. If a caller asks whether they are talking to a person, it says it is an AI assistant.

Where is call data stored?

In New Zealand by default, on infrastructure First Voice runs itself, or in another region such as Australia if you prefer. Only you and the people you give a login to can see it, and it is never sold.

How is this different from the Pickup System?

The AI receptionist and speed-to-lead work on the calls and leads you already get, for a monthly plan. The Pickup System also finds the leads: we run the ads, AI calls each lead, and you pay AU $150 + GST per confirmed appointment.
